My Vodafone app for iOS was the first of its kind in New Zealand’s telecommunications market, assisting customers to check their mobile usage information and manage their payments real-time on the go, without the need for logging in via their desktop.

Concepts & sketches

It was purely focussed on user behaviour measured through the website and its web application, putting what's most important to the user upfront without obstacles that hindered its usability. Not long after its initial release, Android version was also designed, built and released with an added functionality of a widget, to make sure the Android users utilised all its capabilities. An important aspect on design was to honour platform-specific usability guidelines to provide the best experience, especially considering how new the technology was to the customers at the time.

The app reached the top 3 and top 5 of free apps in the New Zealand App Store and Google Play Store respectively within the first week of its release and received an average of 4.5-star rating by thousands of users across the country throughout its iterative versions.
